Many people claim to be a Christian, that they are followers of Christ.They worship God
in ways that they were brought up, by cultures and traditions. They do merciful deeds
to the poor - feeding those who are hungry, giving shelter to those who are homeless
and more. But is it the way to be called as a true Christian? There was a man in the Bible,
called Cornelius, a devout man, and one who feared God; gives alms to people,
and was prayerful too. But he fell short of receiving salvation from God until he have heard
the word of God, the way to salvation. First, faith in Jesus (Eph.2: 8-9). It is impossible to
receive the grace of God and not believing in Jesus, for salvation is not based on our own
good works but the blood that shed upon that old rugged cross.Second, obeying the Gospel
of Christ( 2 The.1:8) It doesn’t come on any means but by obeying it.
It is a 1-2-3 process that needs to be followed. Read 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 and Acts 2:38 to know the gospel.
