Being the eldest daughter of Mr. Santos Sy, a Chinese national, and Mrs. Rosalinda Modelo, Pastora Norma Sy Santos
has developed a responsible and dependable personality quite early in her life. Born on October 11, 1951, she grew
up in Sampaloc, Manila and spent her adolescence in Tondo, where she met Pastor Louie.
She took up her primary education at a Chinese establishment, EXCOWHN Elementary School
and finished up high school in 1966 at CHIANG KAI SHEK. She enrolled at the University of the
East for a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and studied for (1) year. She was offered to work as a
secretary at HANFORD PHILS., Inc. and was an employee for eight (8) years from 1966-1974.
She then became a manager of DYNAFIT MANUFACTURING ENTERPRISES, a manufacturing
outfit of t-shirts where she worked for three (3) years.
In 1970, she married Luis Santos (Pastor Louie) and thereafter they
were blessed with four (4) children namely Leslie, Ludwig, Wiglie and
Weily.
They had encountered conflicts early in their marriage, but were able to
survive and have been able to put up some businesses which they had
grown quite profitably. However, God has really laid out a brighter plan
for their family. The couple both suffered nervous breakdown which
has led them to know Christ in 1984. Since then, they have remarkably
grown in faith. They have given up their businesses in 1993, even
though at the height of their success, to be fulltime pastors of
JESUS CHRIST TO GOD BE THE GLORY FELLOWSHIP, INC.
which they founded in 1988.
Pastora Norma Santos has been a strong support to her
husband, who has led the church to over 20 fruitful years. It is
now holding its services at the Cuneta Astrodome every Sunday,
with over 7,000 church attendees. She leads the Prayer Warriors
team of the church, hosting a prayer and fasting event every Thursday
at the Church Mission House.
Her story and experiences have been an inspiration to the church,
especially to the housewives who has made her a pattern for raising
up a family that is Christ-centered. She has dedicated her life to the
ministry and will continue to do so until the coming of our
Lord Jesus Christ.
