From a garment factory to a neighbor’s vacant lot, from Trinity College Gymnasium to Starmall to Balete drive, from Quezon City Memorial Circle to Cuneta Astrodome… From a church with 200 members to 7000 souls…

Indeed, Jesus Christ To God Be The Glory Church has come a long way.  It wasn’t through luck, nor by chance that this church remains entrenched in God’s love even after 20 years. Yes, my dear brothers and sisters in Christ, our beloved church is now on it’s 20th year!

It was on the 12th of February, just this year, when our church celebrated it’s 20th anniversary. With the theme “Still in Love”, truly the church rekindled again its love for God and passion for soul winning.

Giving some particulars that kept the church busy last 20th anniversary were modifications at the reception area that welcomed all church members and guests,  together with the different booths designed to promote the different church teams. A New-fashioned stage was also set with multimedia projectors stationed at the far corners of Cuneta Astrodome, technology employed to some instruments and equipments for better audio and video performance while unity was depicted through the uniformity of the crowd’s dress code for each team.

Together with the delegates from the extension churches, the program started with a parade of the the church’s first family, alongside with the church leaders and team representatives from different ministries. Each has its own chant of victory that best represents their team, instilling hope and courage to the crowd.

After establishing an aura of praise and worship through singing, humbly led by the I.D.0.4., God’s word and revelations were once again delivered by our very own Pastor Louie Santos, uplifting and touching the hearts of the people, reminding everyone of God’s overflowing goodness and mercy for mankind.

This event was not only made for celebration, but the most important part here is soul winning. Around 200 souls were baptized in this event.

External changes certainly have occurred such as the stage’s appearance, the way people dress, the genre of the songs we sing and so on and so forth. I can go all the way to more and more pages babbling and babbling about the countless modifications, transformations and variations that took place for the past 20 years, but one thing is certain, the doctrine and faith that was being preached 20 years ago is still the doctrine and faith that we are holding on up to now because the God whom we are serving 20 years ago is still, and will always be, the God whom we will serve and worship until we experience our blessed hope.
